Freshness is the whole product. A bag roasted three weeks ago is a different drink, whatever the farm was called, so the roast date on the bag decides most of this list.
What we look at
- Roast date printed on the bag, not a best-before
- Shipped within days of roasting
- Farm or cooperative named, with the price paid to it where possible
- Grind options that match real equipment
- Skip a delivery without cancelling the subscription
Helps if you have it: Photographs of three consecutive deliveries showing the roast date and the shipping date.
