The best portfolio trackers

A tracker that shows the wrong number confidently is worse than a spreadsheet. Most of the hard work is invisible: corporate actions, stock splits, currency at the right date, and dividends that arrive net of withholding tax.

So this list is judged on arithmetic under awkward conditions, not on the dashboard.

How we judged this Fixed before anything was ranked

What we look at

  • Handles splits, mergers and spin-offs without manual repair
  • Converts currency at the trade date, not today's rate
  • Dividends recorded gross and net, with withholding shown
  • Cost basis method stated and consistent across reports
  • Your data exportable in full, at any time, without asking

Helps if you have it: A worked example of one holding through a split and a foreign dividend, with the figures reconciling to the broker statement.
